California-based DJ, Sofia Valentini is getting slammed by netizens who are also fans of famous South Korean girl group, BLACKPINK.

KAMI learned from website, AllKPop, that the criticism towards the musician came after she posted a video of herself in her Instagram account dancing to the song “Kill This Love.”

She then made a “slanty-eye” gesture which fans found racist and insensitive.

She captioned her post by saying, "I love Kpop !! What do you guys think, could I be a new member of @blackpinkofficial?"

Watch the clip below:

Because of this, the DJ posted an apology using Instagram again.

However, BLACKPINK’s fans did not like the tone of the apology as it sounded sarcastic and insincere.

She wrote in her fake apology:

"I'm sorry for not putting extra make up on to look cuter, using fork instead of chopsticks, not putting enough spice and oil on my noodles.

I apologize for all these and I apologize if I hurt anybody. But I guarantee my noodles were not dry and my [chest] are not tiny. I am gonna make a dumpling video next time and it will be fantastic."

A lot of BLINKS were not amused with what the DJ posted and left negative remarks in the comments section. Take a look at what some of them wrote below:

the problem here is that not only did you mock asians, but you also taunted them by stretching your eyes out. you could’ve just danced around and no one would care, but that was way too far. it was not funny; it was offensive, rude, and downright racist. i hope you consider the damage of your actions and as an asian, i can speak for myself and say that i was uncomfortable and offended. learn your place and know that those stereotypical “jokes” are insulting and disrespectful.
i’m sorry? are you apologizing? because i don’t see a real apology. “not cute enough” ? sis- who said you were cute at all-
i’m sorry that you’re so desperate for attention that you start up a controversy with asian racism
you’re literally missing the whole point here oh my god i . u apologised for aLL THOSE stupid things but didn’t apologise for what u aCTUALLY did n that was being racist
