2 of winning senators refused to do ‘Duterte fist bump’ at proclamation

- The 12 winners of the Senate race were officially proclaimed

- When all of them were on stage, 10 of them did the Duterte fist bump

- The two senators who did not do it were Grace Poe and Nancy Binay

Most of the 12 Senate race winners did the “President Rodrigo Duterte fist bump” at the proclamation of their election victory.

KAMI learned that two of them did not do the President’s signature hand gesture.

Those two are Senators Grace Poe and Nancy Binay.

Both of them took to social media to express their thoughts about their election win.

“Maraming salamat sa mahigit 22 milyong Pilipinong nagtiwala sa atin. Susuklian ko ang mandatong ibinigay ninyo ng tapat at masigasig na paglilingkod. Sa inyo lamang ang katapatan ko,” Poe wrote.

“Finished na! Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagtiwala at nagbigay sa atin ng pagkakataon para makapaglingkod muli sa ating bansa,” Binay posted.

Grace Poe is the adopted child of actress Susan Roces and the late action star Fernando Poe Jr. As for Nancy Binay, she is the eldest daughter of former Vice President Jejomar Binay.
