- Other former and incumbent government officials were also present at the event
On Wednesday midnight, the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) has announced that they were finished with the final tallies of the 167 certificates of canvass.
KAMI learned that at 10 in the morning on Wednesday, the winning candidates arrived at the PICC in Pasay City for their proclamation rites.
Here are the “Magic 12” being proclaimed as new senators:
1. Cynthia Villar
Reelectionist Senator Cynthia Villar arrived at the PICC with her husband Manny Villar and their children.
2. Grace Poe
Reelectionist Senator Grace Poe attended the proclamation with her family and mother Susan Roces.
3. Bong Go
Former aide Bong Go arrived at the PICC. However, he was not accompanied by President Rodrigo Duterte who went with him during the filling of the certificate of candidacy.
4. Pia Cayetano
Pia Cayetano was also joined by her family on stage after she was proclaimed as a new senator.
5. Bato dela Rosa
Former PNP chief Bato dela Rosa was accompanied by Bong Go, PNP chief Oscar Albayalde, NCRPO chief Guillermo Eleazar, and Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana after his proclamation.
6. Sonny Angara
Sonny Angara was joined by his wife Tootsy and their family on stage after his proclamation.
7. Lito Lapid
Former senator and “Ang Probinsyano” star Lito Lapid was accompanied by his son Mark Lapid after his proclamation.
8. Imee Marcos
Imee Marcos arrived at the PICC with her family. She was joined by her mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, brother Bongbong, sister Irene, and her children after the proclamation.
9. Francis Tolentino
Francis Tolentino arrived at the venue with his family. He was then joined by them on stage after his proclamation.
10. Koko Pimentel
Reelectionist Koko Pimentel was joined by his father former Senator Nene Pimentel on stage, along with his wife and mother.
11. Bong Revilla
Former Senator Bong Revilla was accompanied on stage by his wife Lani Mercado and their children after his proclamation. He was also seen doing a victory dance after going down the stage.
12. Nancy Binay
Reelectionist Nancy Binay was present at the proclamation with her own family, father and former Vice President Jejomar Binay, and brother Junjun. However, her sister Abby was not present in the event.
KAMI reported earlier the final tally of the mid-term polls in the Senatorial race. Cynthia Villar was the topnotcher with 25,283,727 votes.
