Pasig Mayor-elect Vico Sotto said on social media that people should go beyond “yellow” and “DDS”. KAMI learned that Sotto vowed to support “good” programs and will go for things based on issues.
“We need to go beyond 'yellow' vs 'DDS'. As mayor, I will support good programs and remain issue-based,” Sotto said on Twitter.
As previously reported by KAMI, Sotto said that he won’t be joining the political party of President Rodrigo Duterte, PDP-Laban. The mayor-elect noted that he opted to stay in his small political party, Aksyon.
Sotto was able to end the 27-year-ruling of the Eusebio clan in Pasig City. Sotto gained 209,370 votes, while Bobby Eusebio had 121,556 votes.
Vico Sotto is the son of the veterans Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes. He served as a councilor in Pasig before entering the mayoral race. He also vowed to end the confusing odd-even scheme in Pasig City.
