Veteran actress Lorna Tolentino unhesitatingly revealed the name of the next celebrity that she wants to act as “Darna.”
KAMI learned that the producers and directors of the said movie are still looking for the suitable artist who will portray the role after the withdrawal of Liza Soberano.
Lorna, who portrayed the iconic character in 1977, initially admitted that she is aware of the large number of people who tried to audition as soon as the role was opened to public.
However, the actress stated that she prefers Nadine Lustre to become the next “Darna,” especially after seeing her video where she reenacted a famous scene in the said superhero movie.
“Napanood ko yung ‘DARNA’ [video niya]. Iyong ganun niya. Nice!” she quipped.
“Pero syempre, andami yatang nag-audition for that [because] Darna is Darna diba? Lahat gustong mag-Darna,” she added.
According to the “Ang Probinsyano” actress, she was the first “Darna” who wore a one-piece swimsuit many years ago.
She also gave a piece of advice to the auditionees that they should also post their “Darna” videos on social media for the public to see.
“Ang dami raw nag-audition. Palagay ko, kailangan meron din silang post kagaya ng kay Nadine,” Lorna concluded.
