The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) released the official numbers of the vehicular accidents that happened in Metro Manila, which reached almost 100,000.
MMDA recorded 95,615 traffic accidents in the National Capital Region (NCR) in 2015, according to GMA News. These accidents killed 519 persons, injured 17,103 others and caused 77,993 cases of damage to property.
2014 figures are lower compared to last year’s numbers. In 2014, there are 90,258 traffic accidents recorded.
Most accidents happen at night and in the wee hours of the morning. Motorcycle accidents recorded the highest fatality rate.
