21-year-old transgender woman Jeremiah Torayno of Cagayan de Oro has inspired netizens online with her audition in ABS-CBN’s ‘Idol Philippines’.
For her audition, Jeremiah performed Michael Pangilinan’s “Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako.”
However, KAMI learned that the judges were shocked when Jeremiah used her male voice in singing.
Vice Ganda also pointed out that most trans singers usually change their voice to fit their chosen gender when it comes to performing.

Jeremiah has moved on to the next round of the competition after getting three yeses from judges Regine Velasquez, James Reid, and Moira dela Torre.
Her audition also garnered comments and reactions from netizens online.
