- "Good Morning America" recently released a video referring to South Korean all-girl group Girls' Generation as Blackpink
- Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed the clip where a video of Girls' Generation was playing but with the voice-over referring to them as Blackpink
- Supporters of both groups are demanding for an apology from the US talk show
ABC‘s "Good Morning America" mistakenly referred to Girls' Generation as Blackpink in one of their recent videos.
The show ran a segment about the rise of K-pop in America and mentioned some famous South Korean icons such as PSY and BTS.
Accompanying the voice-over were clips of the artists' most popular videos. However, when a video of Girls' Generation appeared, the voice-over mentioned Blackpink instead.
Fans found out later on that the same clips were used during a similar report back in 2012.
Supporters of the two groups demanded for an apology from ABC for their mistake, which aired on live TV.
As a response, "Good Morning America" has already changed the clip from a Girls' Generation music video to a Blackpink music video.
In a previous report by KAMI, Blackpink's Jennie released a deleted clip from her record-breaking music video, "SOLO" in order to celebrate it reaching more than 300 million views.
