Alex Gonzaga was among the guests invited during during the private dinner at the Malacañang Palace. Her presence elicited bashing from the netizens.
According to reports, Honeylet Avancena was the one who organized the event. Among the invited guests were some showbiz personalities such as the Gonzaga sisters, A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz, Gretchen Ho and many others.
Gretchen Ho who is known as one of the presidents's critics explained why she was there. According to her, it was unknown to her that the dinner was for for supporters of the President.
Communications Secretary Martin Andanar revealed that it was a thanksgiving dinner for supporters of the president.
Alex also was criticized just like what happened to Gretchen. Fashion Pulis shared a screenshot of a tweet from Alex in response to the online reactions.
“Hello. We were personally and formally invited by Malacanang for ‘private dinner’ because of our friend, Sir Robin Padilla. We didn’t know who were going and we really don’t know what it was about. Our network allowed is to go despite having taping that day,” she tweeted.
Alex Gonzaga is a Filipina television host, singer, actress, comedienne, vlogger and author. Her first major role was as a lead cast member on the ABS-CBN sitcom Let's Go and Gokada Go!. She starred in the films I've Fallen For You and The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin.
