Now that the Election Day is drawing near, some candidates did not let the famous tourist attraction, the Banaue Rice Terraces, pass from their campaign.
KAMI learned that some of the candidates put up their campaign posters along the rice field.
In a report by GMA News TV’s News To Go, the posters were seen on Thursday. It was also reported to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and they said that the candidates could display their posters or placards in the designated area only.
The incident did not sit well with the netizens. Here are some of their comments based on the Facebook page of GMA News:
“Grabe naman masyado na nga nasira ang kalikasan dinagdagan pa ng kalat”
“Desperado manalo HAHAHA”
“Hahaha boboto din ba mga yan?”
“Bakit bumuboto ba mga palay dyan? Wow kakaiba nmn yan...”
“Yung mga placards nyo naabot hanggang Mountain Province pero yung gamot na kailangan at mga libro hindi man lang nila mahawakan.”
