After being named as an official HIV Prevention Ambassador by non-profit organization Aid for Aids in February, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach received yet another title that supports her advocacies for HIV/AIDS awareness: new Madrina (godmother) for Latino Commission on AIDS.
The post was previously awarded to Miss Universe 2014, Paulina Vega of Colombia.
Pia has been a strong advocate or the HIV/AIDS awareness since bringing home the coveted Miss Universe crown to the country after a four-decade drought in the prestigious beauty pageant.
Staying true to her advocacy, the Filipina beauty queen was publicly tested for HIV in New York in late January. She also attended a workshop focusing on global statistics, HIV and its relation with the LGBT community and Gender and Sexuality.
