Fire hits condo in Parañaque City, BFP raised it to ‘general alarm’

- A fire broke out from the 21st floor of the Pacific Coast Plaza in Tambo, Parañaque City

- The Bureau of Fire Protection has raised the fire alarm level to “general alarm”

- The firefighters were able to rescue two dogs trapped in the 21st floor

A fire engulfed the 21st floor of the Pacific Coast Plaza in Tambo, Parañaque City on Monday. KAMI learned that the Bureau of Fire Protection had raised the fire alarm level to “general alarm.”

As reported by the ABS-CBN News (author Henry Atuelan), the “general alarm” is the highest fire alarm level where firefighters from other districts should respond to the incident as well.

In a report by the Inquirer (author Neil Arwin Mercado), the incident caused heavy traffic to the motorists along the Coastal Road. Fire trucks were surrounding the establishment along the Parañaque Interchange Terminal Exchange (PITX).

As shared by DZMM Teleradyo, two dogs trapped in the 21st floor were saved by the firefighters.

There are no reports yet about the status of the employees and the residents, as well as the cause of the fire.
