The Otso Diretso candidates mourned the death of their six campaign volunteers who died in a road accident in Baguio City on Tuesday.
KAMI learned that the opposition slate identified the victims as Adelina Agsaoay, Elizabeth Panis, John Roy Passi, Josephine Ag-a, Julia Labi, and Richelda Abigar.
According to the official Facebook page of Otso Diretso, a vehicle filled with the team’s volunteers was involved in a road mishap in Suello Village.
“Ipinagpapasalamat ng Otso Diretso ang inyong taos-pusong pagkilos para sa kinabukasan ng bayan,” it read.
“Sumalangit nawa ang inyong mga kaluluwa. Tuloy ang laban naming lahat para sa mga adhikaing nagbibigkis sa atin,” they added.
Vice President Leni Robredo extended her condolences to the families of the victims, as posted by the CNN Philippines on Twitter.
