- Twin earthquakes rocked the Davao region before lunchtime on Wednesday

- Only 15 minutes later, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded in Davao Oriental
The PHIVOLCS confirmed that a magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook Davao Occidental at around 11:28 a.m. on Wednesday. KAMI learned that 15 minutes later, a 4.7-magnitude quake rocked Baganga, Davao Oriental.
In a report by the ABS-CBN News, Intensity I was felt in Bislig City, Surigao Del Sur, as stated by PHIVOLCS.
According to PHIVOLCS, the consecutive earthquakes in the Davao region and the east of Mindanao were not unusual because the trench was located there.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar said on social media that his department already deployed different teams to assist the affected areas in Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, and Surigao Del Norte.
However, a report by the ANC said that no major damage or casualties had been reported as of posting.
As previously reported by KAMI, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake jolted the Visayas. Many roads and some churches were damaged in Eastern Samar.
KAMI also reported before that a magnitude 6.1 earthquake was felt in Luzon. Intensity V was recorded in Zambales, Quezon City, Manila City, Pampanga, and other areas.
