- Bishop Pablo Virgilio David said that the biggest lie he has heard in the last 3 years was Pres. Duterte’s drug war
- He also mentioned that the truth is a moral and spiritual issue
- However, the religious leader did not attend the forum due to security reasons
Bishop Pablo Virgilio David claimed that the “biggest lie” he has heard for the past three years is President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war.
KAMI learned that the religious leader did not believe that the admin’s drug war could actually “illegal drugs.”
“It matters a lot that we know what the truth is when families claim that their loved ones did not fight back and that they did not have a gun or (illegal drugs) in their possession,” Bishop David said.
Bishop David was one of the keynote speakers of the Second Conference on Democracy and Disinformation on Monday (April 11). However, as reported by the Inquirer (author Marlon Ramos), David failed to attend the forum due to security reasons. Still, he delivered his speech through a video call.
“I call attention to the way they arrest people. You don’t call it an invitation if you barge into the homes of people and you arrest them without warrant,” the bishop said.
As reported by the ABS-CBN News (author Kristine Sabillo), Bishop David emphasized that the “truth is not just a political issue.” He added that it is a “moral” and “spiritual” issue.
In a previous report by KAMI, Bishop David called out President Duterte for insulting her mother and called her a “whore.” The religious leader said that his mother did not deserve to be disrespected like that.
