During his speech at the campaign rally of his political party PDP-Laban, President Duterte mentioned that he is supporting Uson for the upcoming mid-term polls.
“Si Mocha, kandidato ko ‘yan. Masama rin ang bunganga, mabuti ‘yan,” he said.
“T******, murahin mo rin para magtino. Kung ‘di ka marunong magmura, wala ka,” the President continued.

KAMI reported before that Uson filed her certificate of candidacy as the representative of Kasosyo party-list. The former assistant secretary resigned from her post in the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) when the issue regarding their budget broke out.
Esther Margaux "Mocha" Justiniano Uson was first known as a dancer and pro-Duterte blogger. She is the co-founder of the dance group “Mocha Girls.”
In 2017, Uson served as a member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board and then was appointed by President Duterte to become an assistant secretary.
