CCTV shows heartbreaking moment van driven by policeman runs over 2-yr-old at the side of the road

- A CCTV footage was able to capture the moment a van ran over a 2-yr-old

- The little kid was playing at the side of the road with two more kids

- It could be seen how the van shook after it hit the innocent kid

A 2-year-old kid died after he was ran over by a van driven by a policeman in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

KAMI learned that the victim was Leemar Jazz Ruiz, who, at the time the incident happened was sitting at the side of the road.

He was with two more playmates, all of whom were sitting still playing with sand.

In the footage, one could see how the van shook after it ran over the kid.

Residents immediately sprang into action and the kid was brought to the hospital.

However, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to GMA's report, the policeman explained that he didn't notice the kid when he was maneuvering the van.

The family now wants the policeman to answer for the death of the 2-year-old.

Investigation is still being undertaken regarding the incident.
