Mariel Rodriguez gets emotional as Ryan Bang narrates a moving story about his father

'It's Showtime's special episodes for the holy week started airing last Monday, April 15.

Ryan Bang, one of the hosts, shared a touching story about his Korean dad who is a taxi driver, which made his fellow host, Mariel Rodriguez, emotional.

According to him, his father gives free rides to his Filipino passengers.

"Naalala ko talaga tatay ko kasi taxi driver po tatay ko."
"Nung hindi pa ako naging artista, nung bata pa ako, nag-aral pa lang po ako dito, dun umpisa niya dun."
"Tuwing (may) sumasakay sa kanya na mga Filipino, nalilibre niya."
"'Kasi yung anak ko nasa Philippines kaya nalilibre ko kayo'".

Vice Ganda also gave details about Ryan's story, he added that it is his dad's way to give back to the Filipino people because of their love for his son.

"Yung tatay niya, pag Filipino yung pasahero, di niya talaga pinag babayad."
"Kasi daw yung anak niyang Koreano, nasa Pilipinas, na minamahal ng mga Filipino."
"Yun na lang daw yung paraan niya para maibalik niya yung pagmamahal nung mga Pilipino para sa anak niya."

After they talked about it, Mariel was caught teary-eyed and she was teased by Vice Ganda for being so emotional.

She said that she was moved by Ryan's story and his dad's kindness.
