Valerie Concepcion gets real about single-handedly bringing daughter up

Valerie Concepcion revealed her experience as a young mom at the age of 16. She had no choice but to think maturely for her baby.
The 31-year-old actress recalled being monitored closely by her parents because they fear she would ran away with her boyfriend to who she deeply fell in love with.
She expected to have her fairy tale ending with her daughter's father. But her parents opposed to her boyfriend's proposal to get married as she was just 16 during that time.
"Sabi nila, 'Pag 18 na siya at nasa legal age na siya puwede siyang magpakasal, kung gusto niya pang magpakasal, bumalik ka na lang," she revealed.

She still hhoped for her ex to come back for them but he never did. This motivated her to be strong. Her mother instincts naturally came out. Her parents guided her as a parent.
Her 14 year old daughter Heather Fionna had not yet met her father. Valerie had been honest with her about her father.
"Bata pa lang sya, hindi ako nagsisinungaling. Sinasagot ko nang maayos, ini-explain ko lahat. Kahit hindi pa nya nakikita in person yung dad nya, pinakita ko yung picture. Eto yung tatay mo, eto ang pangalan nya. Wala akong sinisikreto sa kanya," she added.

Her greatest fear as a parent id for her daughter to commit the same mistake as she did.
"Kinatatakutan ko na maging teenage mom din sya. Kasi ako napilitan akong mag-mature agad e. Hindi ko na-enjoy yung pagiging teenager. Hindi ko na-enjoy yung mga date-date na yan, hindi ko na-enjoy yung mga labas-labas with friends. Napilitan akong maging responsable agad. Yun yung ayoko sana, na hindi sya manakawan ng panahon, yung ma-enjoy nya yung normal na life."
Valerie Concepcion is engaged to her boyfriend Francis Sunga. She is a Filipina actress, host. She is known for her role as Nora Ferrer in the soap opera Sinasamba Kita but later transferred to its rival network ABS-CBN. She then became a host in Wowowee and Pilipinas Win na Win as well as the first incarnation of Banana Split in 2008.
