Aiko Melendez took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the warm welcome she experienced during the campaign of her boyfriend Subic Mayor Jay Khonghun.
The actress felt like she was a beauty queen with how they welcomed her. Along with the message are pictures of them during the campaign.

While her followers complimented her for being supportive, an Instagram user wrote, "Ms Aiko, sorry to asked but is ur bf is tibo? Medyo may pagka girly ang looks nya. Just wondering lng"
Aiko replied to the comment, "alam mo naman sagot kelangan pa manlait!"
"eh di sana pala nilagay ko gf common sense," she added.

Some of her followers also called out the Instagram user for the insensitive comment.

Aiko Melendez is a Filipino actress and former politician. Her father, Jimmy Melendez, was an actor. Her half-brother, Jam Melendez, also entered showbusiness. Aiko Mlendez started as child star in the early 80s under Regal Films among them, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" in 1982 and she was billed simply as Aiko.
