- Cynthia Villar aired her thoughts against her family's critics
- She said that people should be inspired and not mad of her husband Manny’s success story
- The senator added that she belongs in a “good dynasty”
Reelctionist Senator Cynthia Villar threw strong words to their critics to defend her husband, tycoon and former Senator Manny Villar.
KAMI learned that for Sen. Cynthia, her husband should be an inspiration to those who want to chase their dreams.
In a report by the Inquirer (author Maila Ager), Cynthia addressed the issue about her alleged conflict of interest.
“We’re very careful about conflict of interest kasi madedemanda kami dyan,” Cynthia said.
“And do you take it against my husband who was a poor boy in Tondo to make it good in this world?” she added.
Cynthia also mentioned that poor people should be inspired by Manny’s rags-to-riches story.
“He’s an inspiration to all the poor people that if you work hard, you can be what you want to be someday. So masama ba yun? Bakit sila nagagalit na nagtagumpay yung husband ko? Di ba dapat i-admire nila yun?” she said.
During Cynthia’s interview in ANC’s Headstart, she said that she is considering herself as part of a “good dynasty.”
In a report by KAMI before, Manny Villar was named as the richest man in the Philippines, according to Forbes’ billionaires list. Villar replaced the late Henry Sy Sr. in the top spot with $5.5 billion or P287,366,750,000 net-worth.
