- They also waved the Philippine flag to protest the presence of a Chinese vessel in Batangas
Four Otso Diretso candidates prepared a jetski and urged President Rodrigo Duterte to fulfill the promise he made when he was campaigning in 2016 elections.
KAMI learned from ABS-CBN News that Senatorial aspirants Chel Diokno, Gary Alejano, Florin Hilbay, and Samira Gutoc, posed beside the jetski with a placard that read: “Mr.

In an earlier report by Rappler (author Alecs Ongcal), supporters of Otso Diretso raised Philippine flag to show how they oppose the presence of a Chinese vessel in Lobo, Batangas.
During the 2016 campaign elections, President Duterte said that he is ready to face China amidst the claim on the South China Sea or the West Philippine Sea. He added that he would use a jetski and fight for the Philippines when he becomes the President.
“I will ask the Philippine Navy to bring me to the nearest boundary diyan sa Spratly, Scarborough, bababa ako. Then, I would say, ‘This is ours and do what you want with me, bahala na kayo’,” he said.
