Veteran actor Edu Manzano willingly expressed his thoughts regarding the much-talked-about end of his stint in the top-rating show, “Ang Probinsyano.”
KAMI learned that the said celebrity, whose role was the President of the Philippines, last appeared on the teleserye on March 28.
Edu’s character was needed to be killed since he will be running for a local position in the 2019 midterm elections.
Through a video, the multi-awarded actor expressed his gratitude to the cast members of “Ang Probinsyano,” especially to Coco Martin who offered him the role.
He also commended the creative minds of the people behind the scenes for giving substance to the character of “Lucas Cabrera.”
“Sa tinagal-tagal ko na po sa industriyang ito, kumbaga nakabalik pa ako doon sa itaas. At the same time, nanalo pa ako ng acting award,” he quipped.
“Hindi ko akalain na bibigyan ako ng ganyang klaseng importansya. Sa dinami-dami ng mga characters on the show, nakahanap pa sila ng oras para bigyan ng laman yung character ni Lucas Cabrera,” he added.
With regards to his contributions to the number one teleserye, Edu confessed that he worked really hard just to give his best for his role.
He also stated that “Ang Probinsyano” is more than just what the people see on television because they already built a family even off-air.
“Mahirap ang trabahong ginagawa namin. Mahabang oras, minsan bitin ang tulog. At the end of the day, masasabi mong ‘I did good today,’” he stressed.
“Kinabukasan, dadating ka sa set, medyo excited ka pa nga kasi makikita mo na yung bago mong pamilya. I think yun ang isa sa mga treasure ng ‘Ang Probinsyano,’” he added.
