- The Land Transportation Office will be putting self-help kiosks in malls
- With the help of technology, people can renew their license easily
- The new project of LTO will start by next month
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will soon begin to put self-help kiosks in different malls across the Philippines to lessen the hassle of renewing the driver’s license.
KAMI learned that with the help of technology, Filipinos could process their license renewal and have it delivered to them via courier service.
However, people can still claim it from the LTO if they do not want to pay an extra amount for the shipping fee.
In a report by the ABS-CBN News, the self-help kiosks will be available in some malls starting next month. The LTO plans to enhance further their information technology project to lessen the hassle of the transactions in their agency.
The kiosks will be asking for some information like LTO client ID or email address. The machine will also get the bio-metrics, and there are three cameras for face verification.
