Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) official Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo has officially announced the lay leaders’ top 10 Senate bets. KAMI learned that the CBCP official urged the faithful to campaign for the Senate picks of the People’s Choice Movement (PCM).
In a report by the Manila Bulletin (author Leslie Ann Aquino), Pabillo cited 10 candidates out of the 62 aspirants. 9 of them are opposition candidates and one is an independent candidate.
These are Mar Roxas, Chel Diokno, Gary Alejano, Bam Aquino, Samira Gutoc, Florin Hilbay, Romy Macalintal, Neri Colmenares, Erin Tañada, and Grace Poe.
The lay leaders conducted a thorough screening process based on their set of Christian criteria like character and honor; competence and abilities; faithfulness to God and the Constitution; and the faithfulness to public service.

According to a report by the Inquirer (author Jovic Yee), the PCM is composed of 130 Church leaders. After going through the tedious selection process, they are now encouraging all of the lay faithful to make sure that the “deserving candidates” will win in the upcoming mid-term elections.
