The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed that all 163 Pinoy crew members on board the Viking Sky cruise ship have already evacuated and are now helping to assist the passengers.
KAMI learned that after the terrifying experience of the Viking Sky at sea, at least 479 out of 915 passengers were airlifted to evacuate the cruise ship.
In a report by the ABS-CBN News (author Macel Ingles), there were 458 crew members on board and most of them were British and Americans.
According to a report by the CNN (authors Eliza Mackintosh and Kendall Trammell), the evacuation of passengers already ended as the Viking Sky has docked in a Molde harbor in Norway.
The cruise ship sent out mayday signal on Saturday as they were stranded in rough waters of Norwegian Sea. According to the Joint Rescue Center for Southern Norway, the luxurious cruise ship experienced engine problems in bad weather.
