Kathryn Bernardo can be considered as a household name today. After all, it would seem that everyone simply knows her cute smile and pretty face.
KAMI learned however, that before she reached her present status in showbiz, she also went through a lot of hardships.
As told by Preview, in the article "Confessions of a Former Teen Queen: An Open Letter by Kathryn Bernardo," Kath recounted how she would travel from Cabanatuan to Manila for several hours, just so she could attend auditions and casting calls.
These "calls" or auditions would only last for several minutes, making the travel longer than the actual "work" which Kath endured it all.

She would simply hang on to the possibility that any of these "calls' could potentially lead to a role in a TV commercial or drama.
Aside from that, Kath admitted that she would often be standing next to fair-skinned girls and she would start to have worries.
She would then think that she might not be as pretty or as "tisay" enough for her to get the job. But, her parents would always say that it's okay as there would always be a next time.

Kath reiterated that nothing worth it every comes easy a s she's glad to have experienced all those.
She is also thankful that her family has been with her every step of the way because they made "every single rejection and failure, seem fleeting."
