Once the project pushes through, President Duterte said that EDSA will turn into a “dump site.”
“Tingnan man ninyo ‘pag na-connect na ‘yan, ah wala na. Eh ‘yung — ‘yung EDSA gawain ko na lang — diyan na lang ang basura ninyo. Para basurahan na lang. Dito na lang kayo sa itaas,” President Duterte said.
According to a report by the Philippine Star, the President said that the government has enough funds to build more infrastructures as part of the “Build Build Build” program. He also added that Japan will be providing more machines for the Metro Manila Subway.
“Of course we have the money. That’s why I have the guts... I hope God will allow me to see this. I’m not trying to say remember me. As a matter of fact, when I’m gone, forget me. Doing something gives me personal satisfaction,” the President said.
In a previous report by KAMI, President Duterte inaugurated the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 project that aims to reduce the travel time between Caloocan to Valenzuela to five minutes.
