Multiple posts went viral after claiming that the police were able to arrest the suspects involved in the recent killing that happened in Cebu. KAMI learned that the claim in the viral posts has been debunked by a French news agency.

In a report by the ABS-CBN News, two different posts showed a video and a photo claiming that those were the suspects on the killing of the 16-year-old in Lapu-Lapu City.

However, when Agence French-Presse conducted a reverse image search, they discovered that the photos used were misleading.

The photo used in the first-mentioned post with a guy wearing a gray hoodie came from a piece of news in 2018 where the police were able to arrest 6 Filipinos for smoking an illegal substance.

Meanwhile, the other photo used showing three men in an orange shirt, originally came from a video uploaded by GMA News on Youtube. The three men were arrested in July 2018 over a rаpe case in Bulacan.

The police also confirmed to AFP that they were not able to arrest the three suspects yet as of posting.

KAMI reported earlier that the 16-year-old church server’s autopsy revealed that aside from being skinned on the face, she also lost some of her internal organs such as her esophagus, tongue, and trachea.

President Rodrigo Duterte reportedly gave P20,000 to the family of Christine, as previously reported by KAMI.
