- However, it has been reported that the photo used was misleading
A photo went viral after claiming that thousands of Filipinos went to support the campaign rally of the regional party led by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, the “Hugpong ng Pagbabago.”
KAMI learned from the ABS-CBN News that a Facebook page supporting Duterte-Carpio shared a photo with a caption that read: “Hugpong ng Pagbabago rally. Salamat po sa mga nakiisa.”

However, when Agence France-Presse conducted a reverse image search, they discovered that the photo used in the viral post was fabricated.
The original photo was first published by photo agency, Getty Images, and it was taken on March 24, 2018, during the “March for Our Lives” rally in Washington, D.C.
The aforementioned rally was held to call for gun law reforms in US after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida last February 2018.
