The death of the 16-year-old church collector in Cebu, Christine Lee Silawan, has shocked the nation.
KAMI previously reported that the face of the girl was flayed and that her skull could already be seen.
The gruesome death also prompted the local government to give a reward of P100,00 to the one who could shed light to the death of the girl.
Latest update from the local police, as per GMA's report, was that there's a possibility that a corrosive material, e.g. acid, was used on the girl's face.
This would then explain why the manner of removing the skin on her face was quite flawless, leaving her skull exposed.

Police Superintendent Benjamin Lara, Chief Cebu Provincial Crime Laboratory, also added that it's possible she wasn't killed in the area where she was found.
The police already have in their possession a CCTV footage showing the victim voluntarily riding a motorcycle.
The death of Christine also prompted many netizens to call for the reimposition of death penalty.
