The death of the 16-year-old church collector in Cebu, Christine Lee Silawan, has shocked the nation.

KAMI previously reported that the face of the girl was flayed and that her skull could already be seen.

The gruesome death also prompted the local government to give a reward of P100,00 to the one who could shed light to the death of the girl.

Latest update from the local police, as per GMA's report, was that there's a possibility that a corrosive material, e.g. acid, was used on the girl's face.

This would then explain why the manner of removing the skin on her face was quite flawless, leaving her skull exposed.
