Meghan Markle was one of the influential people in 2018, according to TIME magazine. KAMI learned that a 36-year-old lawyer from Houston, Texas underwent a surgery inspired by Markle’s facial features.

In a report by the Insider, Xochi Greer started meeting with surgeon Dr. Franklin Rose during the time of the royal wedding of Markle and Prince Harry. The lawyer went through liposuction, fat grafting, and rhinoplasty which cost her around $30,000 or P1.59 million. She shared that she wanted to have a similar nose and jawline as the Duchess of Sussex.

Greer said that going through plastic surgery has helped her gain more confidence after having child support issues with the father of her child for the past years. She shared that after giving birth to her youngest child, she has been having a hard time to “bounce back.”

"I think I got exactly what I wanted out of it," Greer said.

"The changes are subtle, yet just enough to give me that extra boost of confidence,” she added.

Psychologist Dr. Pamela Rutledge said that going through plastic surgery can improve one’s psychological well-being, only if the person has no unrealistically high expectations.

"If plastic surgery results in greater social confidence then it can boost self-esteem,” Dr. Rutledge said.

"They will be negative if you expect looking like the Duchess of Sussex will transform your life into hers or somehow connect you with her,” she added.
