- A cop was caught allegedly parked in an illegal space along Mabuhay Lane
- However, the cop insisted that he was not illegally parked and that he was just waiting
- The MMDA enforcer still issued a ticket to the policeman right after
A policeman was caught allegedly parked in an illegal space along the Mabuhay Lane in Quezon City. However, KAMI learned that instead of cooperating with the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) enforcer, the cop insisted that he did nothing wrong.
In a report by the GMA News, the cop said that he was not parking because he was “waiting” inside the car. He also refused to show his driver’s license to the MMDA enforcer.
"Waiting. Waiting. Iba yung parking kapag parking lumabas ka,” the policeman said.
“Kung kanina pa kayo rito, ibig sabihin po sir nag-park pa rin po kayo illegally sir along Mabuhay Lane,” said the enforcer.
Since the cop did not present his driver’s license, the MMDA enforcer still issued him a ticket.
On the other hand, several cars in 20th Avenue received a ticket from the MMDA for standing by along the road. The cars were just waiting for their convoy going to the cemetery to bury their loved one.
