Chokoleit's death shocked the showbiz world and the netizens on Saturday night. He performed during an event in Abra along with some other performers.
One of the performers was JM De Guzman. He thougth the comedian was just tired when he was rushed to the hospital.
"Not his usual self na parang jolly... inisip ko parang baka pagod lang or feel down," said De Guzman.
"Pero at the same time I know he's in a safe place, happy place," he added.
Pops still could not believe as he had talked to Chokoleit during the event.
"Sabi ko, 'Kumusta ka na?' sabi niya, 'I'm in a good place right now saka nakaipon na ako, Ms. Pops' so sabi ko 'I'm happy happy ko naman for you," she shared.

Comedian Chokoleit's passing made the showbiz world and netizens mourn. Some netizens are expressing their sadness because of the untimely demise of one of the country's best comedians. According to a report by the Filipino Times, Chokoleit succumbed to pulmonary edema and heart attack, according to his attending physician Dr. Rosauro Seares.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital but the comedian did not make it. This was in contrast with the reports and social media posts that he was rushed to a hospital in Vigan. Pulmonary edema is fluid accumulation in the tissue and air spaces of the lungs. It may lead to fatal respiratory distress or cardiac arrest due to hypoxia, especially acute.
Jonathan Aguilar Garcia, better known by his stage name Chokoleit, is a Filipino comedian, actor, and TV host. He is best known for his role as Pearly Shell in the Philippine television series Marina.
