- A recently concluded local beauty pageant was tinged with controversy
- This was after a certain candidate and some other netizens took to Facebook to air their opinion regarding the alleged biased judgement
- Even the make-up and the gown she wore during the pageant was allegedly sabotaged
The Miss Caloocan 2019 Pageant was tinged with controversy recently. The Facebook user under the name AK Landayan took to Facebook to air her frustration over the result of the pageant. She also pointed out the alleged sabotage to her sister who is among the candidates.
Landayan pointed out that even 3 judges congratulated her sister Eve Janine Valdez personally after the pageant. They seemed surprise upon learning that Eve was not among the top 5 according to Landayan's post.
The make-up was not allowed to be done by other make up artists because the organization hired an official makeup artist. This, according to the disappointed sister is understandable.
However, the gown was said to be obviously not appealing unlike some other gowns worn by the rest of the candidates. She also provided a picture of the proposed gown to be worn by her sister which was noticeably not the same as the one provided for her.
The designer of the gowns clapped back after Landayan's post went viral. In her rebuttal, the designer pointed out that they consider their gowns as work of art. She added that art can be appreciated differently depending on one's taste.
However, Landayan answered back and questioned why her sister was the only one wearing a different gown which was unflattering according to some netizens.
There are also some netizens who commented and agreed with what Landayan posted on Facebook.
