- President Rodrigo Duterte said that he was “okay” with NCRPO chief Guillermo Eleazar getting violent against the “kotong” cop
- The President also said that he has got the back of Eleazar after the incident
- However, Eleazar has already apologized for his sudden outburst
President Rodrigo Duterte said that he backs the violent behavior of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Guillermo Eleazar when he faced the cop accused of extortion.
KAMI learned that President Duterte wanted to acknowledge that what Eleazar did was “okay” for him.
“Sabihan mo kay Eleazar, okay iyon. Eh ano bang namang ganon-ganon? Sabihin mo, I have his back covered,” President Duterte said, as reported by ABS-CBN News (author Dharel Placido).
In a previous report by KAMI, Police Officer Marlo Quibete of Eastern Police District - Drug Enforcement Unit (EPD-DEU) was accused of extorting P20,000 in exchange of a drug suspect’s freedom.
Quibete was caught during the entrapment operation. When Eleazar faced Quibete, the NCRPO chief had a sudden outburst and was seen getting violent against the suspect.
However, Eleazar apologized for his behavior. He denied that the slapped and pulled the hair of Quibete. He said that he was just trying to lift the suspect’s face so that they can see each other eye-to-eye.
