The Municipal Mayor of Naval, Biliran has released an official memo declaring that employees who will be caught playing mobile games during their shift will be terminated.
KAMI learned that Mayor Gerard Roger Espina knew that several of his employees were caught playing Mobile Legends (ML) and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) in the middle of their shift.
Therefore, the mayor will be terminating those who will be proven guilty of playing mobile games, as reported by the ABS-CBN News.
“I hope that with this memo, suspected employees will ‘level up’ their maturity in terms of the seriousness of public service or ‘squad up’ to find a new place of employment,” Espina said in the memo.
Even the netizens agreed with the mayor's decision. Here are some of their comments based on the Facebook page of the Philippine Star:
"Nothing wrong with this. They’re being paid to work not to play with their phones."
"Tama lang naman.. Binabayaran kayo ng pera ng taong bayan tapos palaro laro lang.. After office nalang.."
"Aba’y dapat lang. we want quality public service. dapat lng sa oras ng trabaho, dahil bayad ang oras mo ng gobyerno, MAGTRABAHO."
"Kapag oras ng trabaho, trabaho lang dapat."
In a report by KAMI before, a man allegedly suffered from busted eye nerves for playing Mobile Legends for several hours.
