The actor-turned-politician former Senator Bong Revilla has shared his opinion about the death penalty as a punishment for plunder. KAMI learned that Revilla is in favor of death penalty to the plunderers and false accusers.

In an interview with the press, Revilla said that bringing back the death penalty can put an end to plunder.

Revilla was one of the accused when the controversy about the alleged “pork barrel scam” broke out. Revilla was allegedly kickbacking millions from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) along with former Senator Jinggoy Estrada and former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.

As previously reported by KAMI, Estrada also supported the idea of punishing plunderers with death penalty. However, Estrada and Enrile were allowed to post their bail while the trial is still going on. On the other hand, Revilla was set free by the Sandiganyabayan and acquitted him of plunder after being detained for four years.
