In a report by ABS-CBN News, Estrada earlier made a statement about supporting his brother Ejercito in the upcoming polls.
"Ang pakiusap ko ngayong eleksyon gawin niyo nang number 1 si JV kahit number 2 na lang ako," Estrada said.
According to a report by Rappler, Ejercito said that he is in favor of the death penalty for those guilty of plunder. Note that Ejercito’s half-brother was involved in the “pork barrel scam” where Estrada faced charges of plunder and his father, former President Erap Estrada, was ousted from his post when he was found guilty of plunder.
"Dapat lang nang hindi na tularan at huwag nang maulit muli," Ejercito said.
JV Ejercito is the son of Manila Mayor Erap Estrada with Guia Gomez who is the incumbent mayor of San Juan City. Meanwhile, Jinggoy Estrada is the son of Mayor Estrada with Loi Ejercito who was called as the “First Lady ng Masa” and “Doktor ng Masa” during the administration of Erap.
