Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has maximized her “Charity Day” by going to different organizations that she has been supporting even before she joined the Miss Universe.
KAMI learned that among the charities she visited, Gray has made an effort to spend time with the children who were orphaned by President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war.
In a report by GMA News, Gray was welcomed by the orphans with long-stemmed roses. The Abot Kamay Alang-alang sa Pagbabago (AKAP) Pamilya Program of Fr. Tony Labiao is under the church ministry’s Program for Orphans.
During the event, Gray left a great reminder to the children of AKAP.
“Never forget that you are loved and wanted, and that God loves you," she said.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, the Miss Universe 2018 also visited other organizations like Young Focus, Love Yourself, and Operation Smile.
Young Focus is a foundation supporting the youth, while Love Yourself is for the advocates of HIV/AIDS awareness. Operation Smile is a group that helps children with cleft palates to undergo operations.
Born January 6, 1994, Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray is the 67th Miss Universe. She is the fourth Filipina to bring home the crown from the prestigious pageant after Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, and Pia Wurtzbach.
