Senator Manny Pacquiao’s interview on ANC’s Headstart with broadcaster Karen Davila has become controversial.
Netizens bashed Davila for asking the senator what school he is going to after he revealed that he is in the process of earning a college degree.
KAMI learned that Pacquiao has expressed his reaction towards the negative comments being hurled at Davila.
According to News5, the boxer-politician urged the public not to hate on the Kapamilya newscaster because there was nothing offensive with her manner of interviewing him.
He also praised Davila’s credentials as a news broadcaster.
“I was never offended by her manner of questioning. Isa po siyang batikan sa larangan ng broadcasting…
“Kung may formal training sa boxing, may formal training din sa education.
“I continue learning not only in academics but also in life. Pakiusap ko lang po: stop the hate.
“Magtrabaho lang po tayo para sa kapakanan ng bayan,” Pacquiao said, as reported by News5.
KAMI reported earlier that the senator’s wife, Jinkee Pacquiao, cried repeatedly due to their son Jimuel’s decision to enter the world of boxing.
Manny Pacquiao tied the knot with Jinkee Pacquiao on May 10, 2000. They have five kids – Emmanuel Jr. (Jimuel), Michael Stephen, Mary Divine Grace (Princess), Queen Elizabeth (Queenie) and Israel.
