Regine Velasquez did not think twice in praising Morissette Amon after the latter rendered a song that's close to her heart.
KAMI learned that Regine and Morissette had a duet in ASAP, which many people, including a host of netizens loved.
One song that got Regine to praise Morissette was "Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka."
According to ABS-CBN's report, Regine told Morissette that the song is already the latter's.
"I just want to say — you own this song, and I'm happy that you're singing it, because it's giving another life to the song. Wala na akong magagawa sa kantang 'yan, so it's yours. Thank you for singing it," said Regine.
However, some hardcore fans of Reg immediately targeted the young diva and threw her some rude comments.
Fans really bashed Morissette because they felt that she could not measure up to what Regine and Sarah Geronimo have reached.
Regine's act in defending Morissette surely showed how classy she is!
Regine Velasquez is known as Asia's Songbird. She's the wife of Ogie Alcasid and they have one child Nate.
She was a Kapuso star for 20 years, which was from 1998 until she became part of the network's noontime show.
