A television audience measurement firm in the Philippines finally released the ratings of “Kara Mia” and “Ang Probinsyano” on their first clash.
KAMI learned that the Kapuso network decided to pit its new teleserye starring Barbie Forteza and Mika Dela Cruz against the top-rating series of ABS-CBN.
“Kara Mia’ aired its pilot episode on February 18, marking its first official clash with “Ang Probinsyano” on national television.
Even before the new show premiered, some netizens already speculated that it will match or even surpass the ratings of the Coco Martin-led series in ABS-CBN.
However, in the data released by Kantar Media, “Ang Probinsyano” still emerged as the top-rating show with 41% rating.
On the other hand, the bizarre drama series of the rival network only accumulated 17.9% on its pilot episode.
In a previous article by KAMI, Mika Dela Cruz aired her honest thought about her new show being pitted against “Ang Probinsyano.”
“Kara Mia” is a GMA-7 drama series that replaced “Cain At Abel” on its timeslot. Its original title was “Ang Dalawang Mukha ni Guadalupe” and it is the counterpart show of “Ang Probinsyano” that has been dominating the primetime bloc since 2015.
