‘Kambal Karibal’ actress arrested in La Union due to marijuana possession

A character actress in “Kambal Karibal” named Roence Santos was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) due to illegal possession of marijuana.
KAMI learned that the actress, known for her “Black Lady” role in the said teleserye, was nabbed by the authorities together with three other associates on February 12, 2019 in La Union.
It is believed that Roence and her companions carried six bricks of marijuana which are equivalent to 25 kilos and amounting up to three million pesos.
According to Darnel Bacate, the Provincial officer of PDEA La Union, they were with a group of La Union Police when they intercepted a Toyota Fortuner sports utility vehicle.
PDEA was informed that the aforementioned vehicle travelling from Cavite was transporting illegal narcotics and that Roence and 3 others were reportedly involved.
The character actress as well as certain Marty Razon, Gary Herela, and Mark Norega were brought to the PDEA Region 1 Detention Facility while the investigation was still on-going.
In an interview with Roence after the incident, she claimed that the narcotics found in the vehicle were “planted” because there were allegedly no fingerprints identified and traced.
She also expressed her dismay due to the harassment that she and her three other accomplices experienced from the hands of the armed forces.
