The corpse of Magdalena Ramel was robbed just a day after her body was buried at the Independiente Cemetery in Cordon. KAMI learned that among the stolen items were an expensive watch, dollar bills, and purses filled with coins.
The Ramel family was outraged by the incident because they thought that Magdalena’s body was finally laid to rest.
Some residents were quick to notify the family when they found Magdalena’s coffin was open and some clothes buried with her were scattered all over the place.
In a report by GMA News, the police were able to apprehend two suspects and one of them was a minor. A 21-year-old named Mauro Aquino was brought to the police station, while the minor was brought to the social welfare department.
The police were able to recover the expensive watch and the two dollar bills. However, they were not able to find other items. The suspects refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
