Fil-Am in U.S. goes viral for his successful weight loss journey using arcade game

A 29-year-old Filipino-American from San Diego in California went viral over his mad skills in arcade dance games. KAMI learned that Fil-Am Roberto Redoble has lost so much weight with the help of an arcade game.

With his interview with CBS News 8, Redoble shared his weight loss journey.

“My typical routine is go to work, go to the gym, go here and burn out and go home,” he said.

Through an Instagram post, he shared that he used to be obese when he was a child. He used to be bullied for gaining 165 pounds at the age of 9. Growing up, he gained 200 pounds.

When he was in college, he got a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science. He focused on understanding how can food affect one’s body and performance. After that, he also became a certified health coach.

Every now and then, Redoble has been making efforts to inspire others as well to reach their fitness goals.

“My main goal is to be able to help people get in shape through dance games and for them to use it as a tool to make cardio fun and competitive,” the Fil-Am said.

Back in 2005, Redoble purchased a Dance Revolution. At first, it was supposed to help him become a better football player. As he practiced more, he discovered his skills in the dance game and made it part of his routine.
