Presidential daughter and incumbent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has spoken about the issues that she will be running as a president in 2022. KAMI learned that Duterte-Carpio has set a deadline for her to decide.

In a report by Inquirer, Duterte-Carpio said that it will take her time to decide whether to run or not as the country’s next president.

“‘Yung pagtakbo kasi ng presidente hindi ‘yan overnight na decision,” she said.

“It needs money, machinery at pinaka importante sa lahat yung wisdom at guidance ng Panginoon. Siguro gawa nalang tayo ng deadline, January of 2021,” Duterte-Carpio added.

Duterte-Carpio also addressed the issues that her regional party, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), is being used for her political agenda in the 2022 elections.

“HNP cannot endorse a presidential candidate since HNP is a regional political party. Nangyari lang naman na lumabas kami this senatorial election dahil marami ang humingi ng tulong,” the Davao City mayor said.

In a previous report by KAMI, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that he won’t be surprised if Duterte-Carpio will become a president. He also shared that many Filipinos admire and support her.

Panelo added that there is a movement to launch Duterte-Carpio as the next president of the country.
