- A group of children were rescued by policemen from the house of their parents
- They were locked in a dog cage, malnourished and covered in their own filth
- The children were clearly deprived of food and were neglected by their parents
A horrifying scene met the policemen at a house in Decatur, Texas. They arrived there shortly after receiving a domestic violence call.
KAMI learned that police saw a man covered with cuts and with his face clearly battered.
The man was Andrew Fabila, while his partner, Paige Harkins, was deemed responsible for the injuries.
Aside from the fact that the house was not "family-oriented," telltale signs showed that there's more than what meets the eye.
According to the Western Journal, they've found straps on appliances to ensure that they aren't opened by little hands.
What made matters worse was that there were four children in the vicinity, with two of them locked in a cage without food.
Perhaps, it was a blessing that they were called to the property since that fateful call led to the discovery of the abused children.
The little ones, estimated to be between the ages of one to five were brought to the hospital for proper medical attention.
