The Senior Program Manager of the upcoming GMA-7 series entitled “Kara Mia” released a cryptic statement which netizens believed to be an attack against “Ang Probinsyano.”
KAMI learned that it was Hazel Abonita who gave the message and she is part of the new Kapuso teleserye which will be pitted against the said top-rating Kapamilya show starting Monday.
The Manager initially made a humble appeal to television viewers if they can a lot some of their time watching the new drama series starring Barbie Forteza and Mika Dela Cruz.
However, a lot of netizens became furious after hearing the next words of Hazel who allegedly used a Filipino dish called “adobo” to symbolize “Ang Probinsyano.”
“Sinasabi namin sa inyo na silipin niyo lang kami. Bigyan niyo kami ng konting oras, magbabago ang telebabad viewing ninyo.
"Minsan po, hindi laging masarap yung adobo. Minsan, kumain tayo ng ibang putahe. Maraming ibang putahe diyan.
"Yun po ang ino-offer namin sa table sa inyo, come February 18," she expressed.
Because of these statements, some of the people from the online world reacted and slammed the new Kapuso teleserye and its Program Manager.

“Sorry ha? Yung adobo habang tumatagal lalong sumasarap. Sa inyo madaling mapanis kaya itinatapon na lang diba?”
“Pasaring ba to sa Ang Probinsyano? Ibig sabihin adobo ang AP at nauumay na kayo? Para sa akin, hindi ako magsasawa sa adobo kasi favorite ko!”
“Hahaha pang ilang putahe na ba yang itinapat nyo sa adobo? Eh wa epek naman!”
“Tumikim ka man ng ibang putahe, babalikan mo pa rin ang adobo dahil hindi nakakaumay at pang masa. Just saying po!”

“Kara Mia” is a new GMA-7 drama series which was originally titled as “Ang Dalawang Mukha ni Guadalupe.” It is directed by Albert Langitan and will be put on the primetime bloc.
