Bato dela Rosa admits lack of political experience; offers clean heart instead

Senate candidate and former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa delivered his campaign speech during the Senate slate launch of "Hugpong ng Pagbabago."

KAMI learned that Dela Rosa has admitted that he lacks political experience and wealth. However, what he can offer to the Filipinos this coming mid-term elections is a “clean heart,” as reported by ABS-CBN news.

“Ako si Bato, tumatakbo sa pagka-senador. Wala akong maipagmayabang sa inyo, wala akong kayamanan, wala akong experiensiya sa pulitika. Pulis lang ako,” Dela Rosa said.

“I come with a clean heart. Malinis ang puso ko. Kahit na buksan niyo pa ito,” he added.

According to a report by Inquirer, the former PNP chief has shared that he once courted a Kapampangan while still studying at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). However, the woman rejected him.

“Sabi nila ang pinakamabilis na paraan para matuto ka ng salitang Kapampangan ay makipag lips-to-lips ka palagi ng Kapampangan para mabilis ‘yung transfer ng kaalaman,” Dela Rosa shared.

“Eh, kaso binasted ako. Wala ‘di ako matuto [ng Kapampangan],” the former PNP chief quipped.

In a previous report by KAMI, Dela Rosa shared that he would like to pursue the comeback of “death penalty” when he becomes a senator. He also revealed that it was President Rodrigo Duterte who pushed him to run as a senator.

Born on January 21, 1962, Ronald Marapon dela Rosa was also the Director General of the Bureau of Corrections. He was the first chief of police under the administration of President Duterte.
